Hi zvz2014 Totally agree that it would be great for more acknowledgement of the maps shared here, and their authors - thank you for showing your appreciation for this great map, and Toni (the creator)! With regards to notifications - they are sent only to the map author, and anyone else who has commented on this map. Sending an email to 60,000 people every time a comment was made on any map might prove a little tiring! ;-)

Actually this kind of posting of "acknowledgment" can be counterproductive under the current design of BP if such note is emailed to everybody. (I am not sure.) If only you and I get the notification then I see no problem with it and I stand up for the advice so we encourage the content providers to share more maps. If however a comment is emailed to everybody, then if others will start posting in kind that would potentially cause too many emails coming in. Question for BP site admin to consider.
