WHAT IS A PARENT? P= Pure Love that is expressed UNCONDITIONALLY thru their presence not the presents. it is both quality/quantity time. A= Ambition of our children. It’s about them not us. We need to support our children for their aspirations/ambitions/passions. To be there for who they are and what they want to become. R= Respect & Responsibility. Parents need to understand that the personality of our children are formed early on in life. We need to build their self-RESPECT, self esteem and personal pride. Only thru a positive self concept will they become productive & responsible persons to their future families and to society E= Education ( Learning). as parents, however hard/struggling it may be, we need to provide education for them. To encourage them to learn new skills/knowledge continuously so they can add value. More importantly to teach them life values by our own examples. Values are not just taught but are caught. N= Never expecting anything in return. After giving them the best that we can afford, it is only upon them to express their gratitude and love. It can never be imposed to return the love/care that we have given them. Children are not investments, they are Commitments of our parental love. T= Teach them TRUST. To trust in themselves & their family 1st. But most of all to trust in God’s mercy & provision.
