I think I made my original comment a bit too short, but I hope this (much longer) comment will be of interest, as I believe we are talking about two different snapshots here: (1) The snapshot when we click on the image is an additional feature provided by Biggerplate. It lets you see a slightly enlarged image as a sort of preview. (As you say, the MindManager Viewer is also available, but I still like to look at the slightly enlarged image first, just as I do when viewing the iMindMap and Xmind maps on this site.) I had no problem about viewing your map using the MindManager Viewer. In fact, I looked at every branch that way. I found the contents so interesting that I decided to download the mmap file, so that I could keep a copy on my computer and open it in MindManager. (2) When I used the term SNAPSHOT in my first comment, I was, in fact, referring to the content of the map itself. One of the items in the Conclusion says: Les cartes heuristiques révèlent et témoignent de l’état actuel des connaissances de l’apprenant. C’est un cliché à un moment précis dans son processus d’apprentissage. When I read that word CLICHE, I thought to myself: Yes, of course! That's it! A mind map is like a snapshot photo of the learner's knowledge at a specific moment in the learning process. For me, that was a really valuable (and memorable) insight. So, for me, the term CLICHE/SNAPSHOT is a great (and memorable) description/visualisation of one of the functions of a mind map. (I had never thought of it quite like that before - hence my enthusiastic Aha! reaction.) I think it is exactly the right word and also the right (mental) IMAGE! And, talking of images, I would have loved to see even more pictures (or even photos) to illustrate your mind map. A camera to illustrate the concept of a snapshot, for example. A photo of a group of students as the background, maybe. I did like your use of different colours for the branches. Anyway, thank you for sharing this interesting research. I'm particularly interested in mind maps about mind mapping itself, and I look forward to seeing more maps from you in the future. Graham
